We realize not everyone can, or wants to link back to us in their footer. Fortunately, you can legally remove the copyright.
We release our templates under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Canada License. That means that you can freely download, modify, use, and distribute, but, "attribution" to the author must be kept. The author is myself, Sean Pollock. The attribution I required for the use of my templates, is a link back to this site in the footer. The license, however also states that any of the conditions can be waived by the original author, or copyirght holder. Again, that author is myself, Sean Pollock.
If you would like to remove the attribution in your template, you have to pay me a small fee of ten (10) U.S. Dollars (USD) via. Paypal. This fee only covers attribution removal for ONE template and ONE TLD. For example, if you pay for removal of attribution on Sleek, you may not remove the attribution on Corporate. Also, you may only use the attribution removed template on the domain you paid for it. If you paid for "example.com", you could not use it on "example2.com".
To get the attribution-removed version you have to follow a small process, just so I can insure the template is not being used in a manner that may hurt ANYONE or ANYTHINGS reputation, etc. Step 1, is to send and email to copyright@templatefusion.org with all the necessary information. Below we included a template. Copy + Paste it into you email, and substitute your information in. Have the title of the email as "TemplateFusion.org Legal Copyright Removal".
- Your Name: Your full real name
- Email Adress: The email adress that we can send you emails to
- Paypal Email: The email that we will recieve PayPal payments from
- Website URL: The URL of the site that you will use the template on
- Template Name: The name of the template you will use (ie. ".01 Sleek")
- Template URL: The Url of the template you will use (Use the Opendesigns Link)
- Other Notes: Anything else that may require our attention (Optional)
Once you've done that, I will look over your request. If it's approved, I send you an email with the payment information. Once the payment is sucessfully recieved, I will send another email declaring that you can now officially use the attribution-free template. I will also print out the record of the transaction. We keep all transactions on file.
COPYRIGHT REMOVALS WILL NOT BE APPROVED FOR FREE.
